Hello, I’m Rae. Link to my sculptural tactile and audible assemblages, and check out my memoir comics and zines with multi-sensory tactile, audible, and visual elements.

Many of my projects combine textured materials, sounds and images. Several test the poetic practicalities of access tools like image descriptions and alt text. A few larger pieces venture into bumpy tactile and haptic terrain. I’m asking creative questions for myself, and anyone curious about accessible narratives and disability aesthetics, with disability access tools as art.

In July 2025, I’m honored to announce Wellcome Collection has acquired the original artwork for Embodied, a memoir comic, including unpublished drawings, which will be available online and onsite with free library membership. Embodied joins an esteemed collection of books, manuscripts, objects and more, representing thousands of years of health and the human experience.
